The U.S.S. Thunderchild NCC-63549 Starship first made its appearance in Star Trek: First Contact as well as a TV appearance in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The U.S.S. Thunderchild NCC-63549 Starship was created by Alex Jaeger, who explained that his design for the Akira class was influenced by the aggressive stance of the Klingon Bird-of-Prey and quickly became his favourite.
